Until the age of one, Lev was an active and inquisitive child: he babbled, repeated sounds, played, and enjoyed the world. But after a serious illness with high fever, convulsions, and infectious brain damage, his development changed dramatically. Lev gradually stopped talking, responding to people, and responding to his name. Doctors eventually diagnosed him with childhood autism, and later added mental disability to the diagnosis.
Today, Lev receives individual instruction and is in dire need of ongoing sessions with specialists. Regular support helps him strengthen his nervous system, develop cognitive skills, and move closer to the most important goal — the emergence of speech.
