History and appeal from the words of the mother:
Polina Korziuk has been diagnosed with atypical childhood autism, epilepsy, speech and mental underdevelopment, and now also has a diagnosis of RDUG.
At first, we didn't understand that the child was sick. It was only when she was 1.5 years old that we noticed she wasn't making any sounds, wasn't babbling, and wasn't looking us in the eyes. We went to the Kharkiv Genetic Center, where they immediately diagnosed her with ASD and found that she was lactose, casein, and gluten intolerant. Then there were many hospitals and doctors from other cities. It was very difficult to diagnose the child because we had to travel 200 km to the regional center (Kharkiv), as there are no hospitals, pediatricians, or specialists closer to us.
The child does not understand spoken language, does not speak, and has valgus deformity of the feet. I am raising a daughter with a severe form of autism, behavioral and eating disorders. I am unable to work because I am caring for my child, and it is extremely difficult to survive on social assistance, not to mention treatment and rehabilitation.
My child vitally needs constant rehabilitation to acquire new skills, communication, and socialization, as her classes must be on a regular basis, because even viruses cause her to regress immediately and lose the skills she has acquired. My only hope is that your Foundation will help with my daughter's rehabilitation. She is my only child, my late child, and I want to give her as much as possible. My daughter is very gentle and enjoys her classes.
At the moment, we are raising funds to pay for rehabilitation at the “MRC” for a total amount of 25,000 UAH.
