Who are they, the “Unbreakable Women of Ukraine”?
According to the artist Yevheniia Fullen, these are women who have had a difficult life, but have found the strength to help others. Olga, one of the protagonists of the photo project, was hit by the fragments of a Russian missile in Kyiv, and she and her family survived by a miracle. Alla, a young woman with a disability, took part in the charity project for the first time, and says that her challenge was to get on a horse.
Among the heroes of the charity project is Veronika, a combat volunteer who constantly helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Victoria in the yellow and blue wreath is a sniper, her arm is strong and she ruthlessly destroys the enemy who came to destroy Ukraine. This photo shows Olena, who evacuated from Mariupol, her house was destroyed and her husband was taken prisoner. Olena, the widow of the fallen Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Khmil, is smiling in a bouquet of red roses
All of us, Ukrainian women, are unbreakable and unconquerable by the enemy who came to destroy us and our children.
We will fight for our freedom and for our children, wherever fate takes us.
The curator of the exhibition, Olena Tsarenko, a journalist who defends the rights of children with disabilities, says: “We stay in Ukraine, bear the burden of war and fight for the happiness and right to live - our children. Children with disabilities whose families cannot be taken out because of their complex diagnoses. But together we can help, support and inspire the little wards of the Dream Foundation to live. After all, the mission of this exhibition of paintings and children's drawings is to raise money for targeted assistance to children with disabilities in Ukraine. Thank you to the Ukrainian-German public organization, represented by the producer Ksenia Zahurska, for helping to tell in Germany about the life of children with disabilities in Ukraine.
My name is Daniel, and my biggest dream is to live in peace. I miss my grandmother, who lives in Sumy region. Unfortunately, we have not seen each other yet, but I believe that soon we will visit her with the whole family. Signed on one of the drawings. Iryna Popovska, director and founder of the “I Dream to Live Tells” Foundation “These drawings are by children with disabilities who are wards of the I Dream to Live Foundation and sent their drawings for the exhibition in Germany.
