“Hello, my youngest son's name is Damir (a child with a disability), he is 6 years old, and I have an older son Kirill, he is 13 years old (a normal child). Damir is a child from my second pregnancy, the pregnancy was very difficult, there was a threat of abortion three times, because during pregnancy my father, who suffered from kidney failure, became very weak and was in critical condition, and then died, and this greatly undermined my health. Then, at 40 weeks of pregnancy, I had a cesarean section because of the umbilical cord tangling and a scar on the uterus.
Згодом розвиток Дамірчика помітно відставав від норм та його ровесників, ходити почав лише у 18 місяців, мова була відсутня, було лише декілька складів ма, па, ка і вказівні жести рукою. Відзначався поганий сон. Були постійні істерики, неможливо було не вдягнути його, ні на вулицю вийти погуляти, ні з вулиці додому піти, а магазини взагалі обходили стороною… Від народження і до тепер спить Дамірчик тільки зі мною. В два роки трапилася страшна біда Дамір отримав тяжку черепно-мозкову травму та потрапив до лікарні в реанімацію, йому зробили дуже важку операцію на голові по видаленню гематоми. Дякувати Богу Дамір вижив та витримав операцію. Потім через чотири місяці була друга операція на голові, по встановленню титанової пластини, щоб закрити дефект на голові.
After a while, I noticed that Damir's vision deteriorated and doctors diagnosed farsighted astigmatism in both eyes. An orthopedist diagnosed flat feet and thoracic scoliosis. A speech therapist diagnosed him with a first-degree speech impediment and a motor alley. His son still has immaturity in the emotional and volitional sphere, and is about one year behind in development. Currently, Damir still has mild autism. Over the years, we have been to many doctors and rehabilitation specialists of various profiles and have been actively engaged and achieved good results. For this, we are infinitely grateful to everyone who helped us.
The child's disability was established only after the age of three, although I started sounding the alarm at the age of 1 year and 6 months, because I saw that the child was developing with a delay, and there was no speech as such, but doctors waved it off and told me that boys develop more slowly than girls, and he will start talking when he goes to kindergarten... but this never happened, unfortunately, even when he went to kindergarten
Only the fruitful work and efforts of Damirchik and the help of all the rehabilitation therapists and teachers of the rehabilitation centers in Kyiv where we have been for these four years have given good results and Damirchik is already talking, of course, not well enough, but for us it is already a victory. Because I remember how one speech therapist in the sanatorium told me that it was time for me to learn the language of the mute, as it is unlikely that Damir will start talking... We ask you to help us please. Damir needs constant classes and rehabilitation, and unfortunately we do not have enough money, we will be extremely grateful to everyone who can help Damir. ”
