“Hello, my youngest son's name is Damir (a child with a disability), he is 6 years old, and I have an older son, Kyrylo, who is 13 years old (a normal child).
Damir is a child from my second pregnancy, the pregnancy was very difficult, there was a threat of abortion three times, because during the pregnancy my father, who suffered from kidney failure, became very weak and was in critical condition, and then died, and this greatly undermined my health. Then, at 40 weeks of pregnancy, I had a cesarean section because of the umbilical cord tangles and a scar on the uterus.
Subsequently, Damirchik's development lagged behind the norms and his peers, he started walking only at 18 months, at two years old he had no speech, a few syllables of ma, pa, ka and pointing gestures with his hand. He had poor sleep. “From birth to now, Damirchik sleeps only with me.
When he was two years old, Damir suffered a severe head injury and was admitted to the hospital intensive care unit, where he underwent a very difficult surgery to remove a hematoma on his head. Thank God, Damir survived the operation and came through it. Then four months later he had a second surgery on his head to install a titanium plate to close the defect on his head.
The child's disability was established only after the age of three, although I started sounding the alarm at the age of 1 year and 6 months, because I saw that the child was developing with a delay and had no speech at all, but doctors waved it off and told me that boys develop more slowly than girls, and he would start talking when he went to kindergarten... but unfortunately, this never happened
After a while, I noticed that Damir's eyesight deteriorated and doctors diagnosed farsighted astigmatism in both eyes. An orthopedist diagnosed flat feet and thoracic scoliosis. A speech therapist diagnosed him with first-degree speech impairment and a motor alley. His son still has emotional and volitional immaturity, no concept of fear and danger, and developmental delays of about one year. Currently, Damir still has mild autism.
Over the years, we have been to many doctors and rehabilitation specialists of various profiles and have been actively engaged and achieved good results. We ask you to help us.
