History and appeal from the words of the mother:
“I am Lilia, the mother of seven-year-old boy Zhenya, diagnosed with autism. Zhenya does not speak to the people. From an early age, my son suffered from developmental delays (intelligible language, problems with communication, lack of language).
At the age of six, we were diagnosed with autism. We live in a rural area where it is not possible for our child to receive the necessary professional help from such specialists as a speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, and psychologist. In 2023, we had the opportunity to repeatedly rehabilitate our son at the RC “Step by Step”, and in early 2024 we also took two rehabilitation courses there, one of which was paid for by the “I Dream to Live” Foundation (before the new year we were lucky enough to win a free rehabilitation course).
After the rehabilitation courses, we observe positive dynamics in Zhenya's development. Unfortunately, he is not yet able to speak, but the improvement in his condition is obvious. Zhenya is a positive, cheerful, active boy who is interested in everything around him, but he has a significant disability - the lack of speech, which prevents him from communicating with peers and adults on an equal footing. This year we are planning to go to school.
We, Zhenya’s father, urge you to do everything possible and earnestly from us to ensure your child a happy childhood and a fulfilling life, since stable rehabilitation and living will require significant expenses. Our family asks the "Dream to Live" Foundation to help raise money for the rehabilitation of our child Grekova Evgeniya. We are very grateful to the Dream of Living Foundation for such important support for families with special children. And we know for sure: “Die and your dreams will come.”
At the moment, he needs a rehabilitation course at the Physical Rehabilitation Center “Step by Step to the Goal” for a total of UAH 25,000.
