Diagnosis: Cerebral palsy, an atonic-astatic form, is expressed by persistent movement disorders in the limbs. Delay in psychomotor development.
Dmytryk is the second child in the family. The pregnancy was uneventful. However, there was placenta previa. Dmytro was born with a weight of 3700 g, a height of 50 cm and immediately screamed.
Dmytryk was discharged on the 4th day with a diagnosis of healthy. At 3 months, he started having serious problems. Terrible convulsions began, which often recurred. The Drohobytskyi Children's Hospital could not help and referred them to the Lviv Children's Clinical Hospital. Long-term treatment began there. They selected anticonvulsant drugs, examined and helped as much as they could. The drug "Depakin" was prescribed, which improved the condition, but did not relieve the convulsions. Then they were treated with Topomax. Great gratitude to doctor Oksana Tadeivna Huzar, who treated Dmytryk very competently and helped him tremendously. In the year Dmyrik was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, hypostatic-ischemic lesion, episyndrome, muscular hypotonia, delayed motor development. Dmytryk did not hold his head, did not sit, did not move, did not chew on his own. Almost did not respond to the outside world.
And then the wheel of examinations, treatments, suffering, worries, pain and sadness began to spin. There was an examination at the Kyiv Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, A.P. Perfilova Ave. and other professional neurologists.
The doctors could not give hope, they said to the parents: "You are still young and you still have everything ahead of you!". However, God's mercy, patience, hope and love gradually brought Dmitry back to life.
At the age of 3, the convulsions stopped. Dmytro's treatment and rehabilitation began at the Truskavets International Rehabilitation Clinic, Lviv Regional Children's Specialized Clinical Hospital, Yevpatoriya Central Children's Clinical Sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense, Iskra, and Khadzhibey Children's Specialized Clinical Sanatorium. At the age of 3, the first victory Dmytro began to hold his head, at the age of 5 - to sit. Drop by drop, improvements appeared and the hope for recovery seemed even greater. As a result of the treatment, there was a positive result. Constant rehabilitation is needed, which will help the child cope with the disease faster, so that he can run, talk, and live a full life.
At the moment, Dmytryk is 12 years old. He is a loving child in the family. He is an extremely kind, cheerful and optimistic guy. The desire to live overcomes a terrible disease. Dmytryk sits on his own, walks holding both hands on the bars, already chews on his own, but does not serve himself yet, does not speak, but actively expresses his emotions and feelings. He is a very capable child. Parents believe in God's grace and the sincere help of good people. However, it is impossible to cope with the problem on your own, so the parents turned to the "Dream to Live" charitable foundation for help.
