History and appeal from the words of the mother:
“Hello, I am Artem Lysytskyi's mother, Yulia. Artem is the second long-awaited child in our family, he was born a healthy baby, on time. But when my son was two months old, he suddenly became ill. We went to the hospital immediately and were taken to the intensive care unit, and for two days the doctors were looking for the cause of the child's ill health. When they did an MRI, they found a hemorrhage in the brain (stroke), and on the same day we were told that we urgently needed to operate on our son, because the situation was critical, as if we were doused with hot water, tears, shock, fear all mixed together!
When the son was operated on, his body was heavy, but he was even stronger in us, and having suffered a lot of torment, after a period of time he began to eat, died on his own, and we were transferred to the underground ward where we died at once. A month later we were discharged. Our son had to undergo three more operations on the brain: removal of hematomas, and expansion of the coronal suture of the skull.
At the moment Artem is 6 years old, unfortunately he does not sit, walk or talk on his own. Because he has severe diagnoses: Cerebral palsy, right-sided hemiparesis, tetraparesis, structural epilepsy, developmental delay. But despite the words of doctors and all these consequences, we believe in our son with all our hearts, and we do everything possible to improve his health and physical condition. We have been trying to visit rehabilitation 4-5 times a year for all these years.
Each rehabilitation session yields its results. Artemka has learned to hold toys, responds well to his name, learned to drink from a straw, and his spasticity is decreasing. These are difficult times, and unfortunately our family is unable to take our son to rehab as often, and it makes our hearts bleed that not everything is solved by wishful thinking.
Therefore, we are asking you to help us raise funds for the next rehabilitation of our son at the Victoria Center in Boryspil! We will be sincerely grateful for any help. We wish you a peaceful sky! ”
At the moment, he needs a rehabilitation course at the Victoria Child Rehabilitation Center for a total of UAH 24,500.
