History and appeal from the words of the mother:
"I am a single mother raising two children with disabilities on my own, Matushevich Varvara Pavlovna, born on December 17, 2019, and Matushevich Melania Pavlovna, born on December 17, 2019, diagnosed with childhood autism. IDP: Kherson region, city of Hola Prystan.
Before the full-scale war began, the children were developing normally. From the first days of the war and the occupation of the city, the children experienced stress and fear, constant explosions, vibrations in the house, lack of food and electricity – all of which had a negative impact on the girls and had terrible consequences for their health.
Today, the children are six years old, do not speak, understand spoken language at a basic level, and require constant care and rehabilitation. In order not to waste time when it is still possible to help the children, I am asking for your financial assistance for their rehabilitation and treatment.
The diagnosis was made after we left the occupied territory, where I had been staying with my children for 10 months. The children underwent expensive medical examinations. An MRI scan costing over 20,000 hryvnia and laboratory tests costing over 15,000 hryvnia were carried out. Credit funds were spent, which have not yet been repaid.
I am temporarily living with my children and my mother, who has cancer and has suffered a stroke, as an internally displaced person from occupied Kherson region, in rented accommodation in the town of Gostomel.
At the moment, we are raising funds to pay for rehabilitation at the “MRC” for a total amount of 50,000 UAH.
