” Milana was born on June 18, 2014 from the second delivery in Kyiv. The pregnancy went without any complications. During labor, the baby's heartbeat was not audible, so an unscheduled cesarean section was performed. When the daughter was delivered, she had no signs of life. While she was being resuscitated, her brain was damaged, which affected her nervous and musculoskeletal systems. After that, doctors discovered that the blood of the mother and child was incompatible. Two blood transfusions were performed. At the same time, high bilirubin also played a big role in the brain damage. A week later, we were discharged home. At six months, I began to notice that something was wrong with the baby. She could not sit up and crawl on her own like other children. When I went to the doctors, they told me it was too early. I wasted no time in starting massages and physical therapy for the baby, and we went to the swimming pool. It was only after six months of active training that I began to notice at least some changes in my daughter's development. Until she was two years old, Milana never took any steps on her own. After that, at the age of two, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, right-sided hemiparesis, mental and speech developmental delays. When Milana's father learned about the diagnosis, he could not stand it and left the family.
The doctors unanimously say that if you work with your child constantly, there is every chance for a full life. After hearing this, I did not let my daughter rest for a single month, and we constantly attended all kinds of rehabilitation. As a loving mother, I treated my daughter wherever possible. By now, we have come a very long and painful way. The results were not long in coming. All our efforts were not in vain. Faith in God and in my child helped me to keep going.
As long as it grows, it is simply necessary to take care so that everything does not turn out to be fatal.
Cerebral palsy does not wait.
