Hordii's official diagnosis is atypical autism. He developed well until he was two years old, but after that he began to show abnormalities: he stopped talking, did not respond to spoken language, had no eye contact, and lacked a pointing gesture.
At the age of 3.5, we started working with a neuropsychologist, and at the age of five, we became actively involved in rehabilitation. On average, it is 3-4 hours of lessons every day. Now we work in two centers on a regular basis - we work with a correctional teacher, undergo sensory integration, cerebellar stimulation, exercise therapy, speech therapy, logorhythmics, mnemonic math.
I try to socialize my son as much as I can, as much as my strength and resources allow. Hordii is already speaking, although he understands the spoken language partially. He goes to a specialized public school, now in the second grade, in a class of 7 children. He goes to the toilet, but still with help. He has a selective diet - he does not eat vegetables and fruits at all. He does not take any medications, only vitamins.
We have been in rehabilitation mode for almost five years. And I'm not stopping. Because he is my greatest love and my main incentive to live on. "
