Our fight for the health of the child began back in 2009, when our daughter Olichka was born. As a result of difficult childbirth, she had a broken collarbone, a damaged nerve, and a year later she was sentenced to disability (Duchenne-Yerba Obstetric Paresis). Constant treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, exercise therapy, massages continue to this day. Thanks to constant rehabilitation, her hand is developing, and works to the best of her ability, and is almost unchanged.
In 2015, it so happened that at the end of the pregnancy something went wrong, and the doctors urgently had to save Andriy. Due to all the negative factors for his health, he ended up in intensive care. Then 11 days on a ventilator, then MENINGITIS. Long-term treatment with antibiotics, 6 punctures, and as a result cerebral palsy. Like a bolt from the blue. Then rehabilitation, exercise therapy, massages, classes with rehabilitation specialists, a speech therapist, a psychologist, and more than one operation. Andryusha can already take his uncertain but independent steps.
Rehabilitation, physical therapy, and other treatments are important steps in restoring children's health and independence.
Continuous treatment gives a positive result. Without rehabilitation, we would not have achieved such an improvement in health and developmental progress that Olya and Andriy have now. But we cannot stop. Skipping another rehabilitation is a step back.
