History and appeal from the words of the mother:
Good day, everyone! I am Anastasia, the mother of a special boy!
Today, I want to tell you about my son Semyon, who is now 9 years old! Semyon was born a seemingly healthy child! He was like all normal children, developing according to his age, and then we gave him the 3-in-1 vaccine, which he tolerated well, and at one year and one month we gave him the MMR vaccine, which also seemed to go well, but not quite! After this vaccine, the child began to get very sick, with some kind of illness every two weeks: sometimes croup, sometimes tonsillitis, sometimes a virus.
Then the child developed head tics (which alarmed us), began to have problems with coordination, lost his speech, lost his smile, stopped communicating, and began to withdraw into himself! We treated herpes virus 6 and cytomegalovirus (even gave her immunoglobulin drips), and the tics went away! But the other issues and problems remained. We saw various doctors, had lots of tests, encephalograms, MRIs, millions of analyses, and everyone said everything was fine. But we saw and felt that it wasn't! Unfortunately!
I think we saw every doctor we could possibly see: a geneticist, a gastroenterologist (three professors), a neurologist, a psychologist, various infectious disease specialists, an ENT specialist, an immunologist, and even a parasitologist! Your child is fine! The psychologist and neurologist prescribed treatment and sent him to classes! When I went to the neurologist, I described my child's behavior, we did an encephalogram, and the doctor said he didn't see what I was describing! They prescribed medication, diagnosed ADHD, and we did everything they said! But nothing changed! There was no speech!
His hyperactive behavior was off the charts, he didn't understand spoken language at all (only now has he begun to understand a little), he doesn't talk, doesn't play with other children, doesn't use toys, can't take care of himself, and much more...
A little later, when he was already 2.5-3 years old, we began to consult with other specialists, and they began to talk to us about ASD!
It was a shock. A huge shock!!!!!!!! We couldn't do anything, we just cried. We started to learn about it and were stunned again!
Then the health problems continued: constant bloating, loose stools, waking up in the middle of the night and crying, lactose intolerance... Doctors, tests, but all in vain... Nothing worked! We went to classes and doctors as much as our resources allowed! We often lost hope! But we still continued on our path!
And then war came to our country! This had an even greater impact on the atmosphere within our family! Moving! Confusion! Starting life almost from scratch! We coped! We gradually came to our senses! We applied for disability benefits! We have autism with subgroup A! We started looking for classes in our area! It's impossible to do, there just aren't any here! There is an IRC, but the classes there are online, which is not suitable at all, because not every child understands what they need to do and why, and online is even worse. Children with such problems are different!
Semen has no friends, he does not play with toys, he does not speak properly (he has started to say a few words), he does not understand spoken language (he has started to understand a little), he cannot say when something hurts or bothers him, he cannot take care of himself (I have had a child for nine years who is still a little over a year old in terms of development), and there are many other things with the prefix “no,” but he is still a child, he is a person. I am sure that he wants to feel good and play, he wants to live a full life! There are many things he loves, such as playing in recreation rooms, swimming in the pool, and traveling! We are trying to do everything in our power for his health and development! But... In order to get all the necessary tests and genetic tests to examine the child, a lot of money is needed! To get these tests done and see the doctors, we need a lot of money! To buy all the medicines and vitamins that the doctors prescribe, we need a lot of money! To maintain a diet that is suitable for Semen, as he has intolerances, we need money! To constantly rehabilitate Semen, as he really needs it, we also need a lot of money!
In order to conduct regular classes with specialists (which yield results), significant funds are required. It all depends on the amount of funds you have. In other words, if you want your child to understand speech, communicate with other children, be able to express their concerns or desires, and live a somewhat fulfilling life, significant funds are required. I am unable to work because I am always with my child! We have nowhere to turn for assistance!
Rehabilitation is a chance for new opportunities, a new life, new achievements, development, health, understanding spoken language, and a chance for the future!
Each rehabilitation session is like a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, each rehabilitation session is very expensive! That is why we really need your help and support!
Semen, a boy who is gradually learning everything! A boy who gives hope for an independent life (perhaps that's what I want so much)! As I say, there are always opportunities, and we try to make the most of them!
