Vitya is 5 years old. And he has never said “mom” yet.
He has autism. Looking into the eyes, reaching out to another person, showing that it hurts or what he wants is a real barrier for him. He is there. He hears. He feels. But words are still somewhere out there, beyond the limit that he has not yet reached.
Children like Vitya can learn. Not on their own, but with the right support. Regular classes with specialists are what gradually builds a bridge between his inner world and the people around him. Teaches him to understand. To react. And, perhaps, one day, to speak.
We are raising funds so that Vitya can have this opportunity.
